Important information about Acoroof's website, roofing tools and professional recommendations.
Last updated: 16th August 2026
1. General information
Information on this website is provided for general educational and informational purposes to help property owners make better-informed roofing decisions.
2. Roofing tools are not a physical inspection
The Roof Problem Checker, Roof Area Estimator, Roof Health Check and Maintenance Planner provide guidance based on visitor input. They cannot see concealed structure, hidden flashing defects, woodwork condition, exact water paths or other site-specific conditions.
A tool result is not a final roofing diagnosis, engineering certification, quotation or guarantee of roof condition.
3. Professional assessment takes priority
Where a problem is serious, recurring, uncertain or structurally concerning, a physical assessment by a competent roofing professional should be carried out. Acoroof's site-specific professional recommendation takes priority over general website guidance.
4. Roof Area Estimator
The Roof Area Estimator is a preliminary planning tool only. It must not be treated as the final quantity of roofing sheets, flat sheets, accessories, labour or project cost. Accurate measurement depends on the actual roof structure and relevant woodwork being completed.
5. Customer decisions
Acoroof provides professional recommendations based on roof condition and the intended long-term solution. If a customer insists on a different option and Acoroof agrees to proceed, the agreed project scope and stated conditions apply.
6. No guaranteed result from website information
Roofing outcomes depend on existing structure, materials, workmanship, weather, later alterations, maintenance and other conditions. Website information alone cannot guarantee a particular repair outcome.
7. Roof access
Unauthorised roof access can damage sheets, fasteners, flashing and other components. Solar installation, plumbing, satellite equipment or other work requiring roof access should be properly coordinated with a roofing professional.
8. Material and construction decisions
Gauge, coating, sheet design, pitch, woodwork, fastening, flashing and overall structural condition should be considered together. A lower installation price does not by itself mean lower total project cost or better value.
9. External links
Acoroof does not control the content, availability or policies of external websites linked from this site.
10. Contact
If you are unsure about a roofing problem, requesting a professional assessment is safer than relying solely on an online tool.
